O.K. a friend of mine inspired me. In honor of Valentine's day I'm going to post my "cheap but meaningful" romantic gift ideas!!
Nothing says "I heart you" like a homemade gift... and there's tons of stuff u can make without spending ur life's savings...
1. A Scrapbook - it depends on what kinda a person ur making it for... but pixers, movie tickets, cartoons, glitter... should make for a pretty nice present
2. Duct Tape Rose - Chris Kofos made one for me for my b-day.. i have to say those are super awesome.. and they dont die.
3. Mixed CD - classic. put all "your songs" on it.. but i wanna make some suggestions. If you're going for happy and fun I recommend "Glory of Love", "So happy together", "Don't wanna miss a Thing" or "That Thing You Do" cover by NFG. -"I saw her standing there" by the beatles is a pretty cute song... but anythign by the beatles will probably do -if you're going for romantic and sweet "I'll Catch You" by the Get Up Kids is the ultimate. Also try Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes"
4. Message in a Bottle - along with a message u could put little candies in or something.. make it pretty ^_^.. there are a lot of possibilities for that one. -you might wanna make ur message in a bottle a poem or love letter... -ugh.. when u write love letters... dun use the "your eyes are diamonds" metaphor unless u talk like that in real life.. and not many of you do.
5. Dollar Art is cute... I personally think the Box would be cool. i'm sure u can think of a million things to put in it.. tic-tacs or something? lol uhh or u could always try the valentine dollar.
6. Make a Message Puzzle... I found this one online, but i think you could make ur own easily.
7. Magic 'I Love You' Bean. This one you'd actually have to buy... but i just thought it was awesome.
